I’m Enid and I can’t tell you how excited I am that you are here.
I started Imperishable Beauty because I believe all women should invest more in their character, their value, their purpose, and their strengths, rather than invest in things that don’t stand the test of time, that don’t result in Kingdom living. I spent so much of my life investing not in myself to the point where I lost my passions and stopped dreaming. I stopped believing that there was more to my life than my present circumstances. I started to embrace the lie that it was too late for me to fully utilize all the gifts and talents God had given me and because I was a mother and wife, that I would be relegated to running the hamster wheel, running so fast but going nowhere with all the laundry, dishes, appointments and shopping that I had to keep up with. Anyone relate?
Not that I don’t love being a wife and mother. I love my hunky Serbian husband so much and can’t imagine life without him. Nor could I ever fathom the kind of sacrificial love I have experienced for my now 3-year-old son, the kind of love that shows me how much and at what lengths Our Father will go to love us. I still can’t believe that God would entrust us to steward our son’s life as his parents. And both of my men have been instrumental in shaping who I have become in the last few years. So it’s hard to believe that I wouldn’t be totally satisfied with being a wife and mom. But see that’s how God created us as women. Just read Proverbs 31:10-31 as our example. We are more than the roles that define us because we are all dreamers, creators, motivators, influencers, and contributors to society in some way, shape or form.
I was actually in South Africa when God began to chide me for choosing to stop dreaming, to stop living from a place of great faith for me and my family. You can read about that story here in parts one and two.
Here are some of our team members whom I absolutely adore:
